About the role
This Application Intern role at onsemi supports internal evaluation requests and customized test setup design for SiC JFET products, including discrete devices, co-packaged smart power devices, and high-power modules.
What you'll do
- Support internal evaluation requests (electrical, thermal, mechanical)
- Independently conduct experiments
- Design or craft customized test setups for internal evaluation (electrical, thermal, mechanical)
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in EE with 2+ years in power semiconductors or Master's Degree with 0-2+ years in the semiconductor industry
- Laboratory experience with power semiconductor products (IGBT, Diode, MOSFET)
- Circuit analysis and power electronics course background
- Proficient skills in a lab environment (oscilloscope, probes, soldering)
Nice to have
- Power semiconductor characterization experience
- Converter design experience
- Proficient with lab equipment (oscilloscope, voltage / current probes, power supplies, various mechanical tools)
