Solutions Engineering Architect - 19495
Architect subsystems integrating UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, and LPDDR IP blocks into customer SoCs.
Originally posted 3 November 2026 by the employer.
About the role
The Solutions Engineering Architect works directly with customer architects and SoC leads to gather system requirements, translate constraints into semiconductor IP integration solutions, and support chips from evaluation through silicon bring-up. The position focuses on architecting subsystems integrating UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, and LPDDR IP blocks.
What you'll do
- Engage directly with customer architects and SoC leads at HPC and AI companies to gather system requirements and translate them into IP integration solutions.
- Architect subsystems that integrate Synopsys IP blocks including UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, and LPDDR into customer SoCs, specifying interfaces, performance targets, and implementation strategies.
- Support customer projects across the lifecycle from IP evaluation and kickoff through integration, tape-out, and silicon bring-up.
- Develop technical collateral including architecture diagrams, design specifications, application notes, and white papers.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Design Engineering to prioritize customer feedback and influence Synopsys IP roadmaps.
- Provide technical training to field application engineers and key customers on IP products, integration best practices, and system-level design considerations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 10 or more years of hands-on experience as a design engineer, system architect, or applications engineer working on complex SoCs or ASIC projects.
- Deep working knowledge of interface, connectivity, and memory protocols including UCIe, PCIe, Ethernet, HBM, and LPDDR.
- Solid grounding in SoC design implementation including RTL design and verification using Verilog or SystemVerilog, synthesis and static timing analysis, physical design flow, and testbench creation and simulation.
- Experience with high-speed PCB layout, signal integrity analysis, and hands-on use of lab equipment including high-speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and traffic generators.
- Prior experience selecting, integrating, designing, or supporting semiconductor IP in a customer-facing or internal architecture role.
