Senior Applications Engineer
$110,000 - $130,000 USD yearly
Support integrated pin electronics and ATE ICs directly through hands-on lab debug, EVMs, and customer integration.
About the role
Elevate Semiconductor is hiring a Senior Applications Engineer to take customer issues and new evaluation modules (EVMs) from start to finish, bridging customers with Design, Product, and Quality engineering teams. The role focuses on ICs for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), including integrated pin electronics.
What you'll do
- Lead complex customer and system-level investigations: define the problem, reproduce it in the lab, drive root cause with internal engineering teams, and close the loop with the customer.
- Generate technical documentation for products, including datasheets, product guides, application notes, and integration materials.
- Interface with internal engineering teams to support bringing new products from initial concept through production release.
- Perform bench testing and analysis to reproduce customer observations, support inquiries, and provide technical integration guidance.
- Support failure, quality, and reliability analysis in conjunction with the operations team.
- Coordinate with the sales team by assisting with product recommendations for new customer designs and conducting on-site visits to promote IC products.
What you'll need
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-7 years professional experience in applications, test, product, or systems engineering on semiconductor products.
- Extensive experience with bench equipment: scopes, SMUs, supplies, AWGs, probing technique, and bench setup troubleshooting.
- Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Clear communication with the ability to explain technical findings to both an engineer and a manager.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.
Nice to have
- Experience in Semiconductor Test, ATE, measurement equipment, or high-performance instrumentation.
- Experience in Analog, Mixed Signal Design or Transistor Level Debug.
- Exposure to PCB design review and bring up or using tools such as Altium or Allegro.
- Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice.
- Experience using programming languages or tools for test automation and data analysis such as python, C, JMP, Excel.
