About the role
KLA is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the Austin development team to own an end-to-end project. The role focuses on contributing to OVALiS, a .NET/C# application used in semiconductor manufacturing, while exploring modern AI development tools.
What you'll do
- Own a dedicated software project from initial design to a working production result alongside an experienced developer mentor.
- Break down project requirements, define the technical approach, and establish completion criteria.
- Design and implement software solutions using C# and modern AI development tools.
- Measure results, document technical findings, and iterate based on evaluation metrics.
- Participate in Scrum team activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and project demos.
- Share final project results and findings with the broader development team.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Less than 1 year of related experience.
- Programming experience in C# or a similar object-oriented language.
- Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
- Ability to work independently on an open-ended problem and communicate progress clearly.
