About the role
AMD is hiring a Software Development Engineer to research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for semiconductor operations.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
- Develop software and tools supporting design, infrastructure, and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, and databases.
- Determine hardware compatibility and influence hardware design.
- Validate new software features prior to release.
- Execute unit and integration tests to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Unix or Linux environments.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems concepts, and multithread programming.
- Experience with object oriented design and software debugging in macOS, Linux, or Unix.
- Experience with Machine Learning.
