Verification, Validation & Test

$159,000 - $239,000 USD yearly

About the role

As a SoC Design Verification Engineer, you will verify Ampere SoCs from architecture through tapeout, delivering subsystem and chip-level functionality. You will collaborate with architecture, design, firmware, and post-silicon teams to establish verification strategies for production-ready silicon.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute SoC and subsystem verification strategies and test plans to meet verification sign-off criteria.
  • Architect, design, and implement verification environments, including testbenches, assertions, scoreboards, monitors, and coverage models.
  • Create tests, debug failures, and evaluate coverage of the design.
  • Collaborate with design, architecture, firmware, and post-silicon teams to resolve pre-silicon and post-silicon issues.
  • Participate in design and verification reviews to improve methodology, automation, and reusable verification collateral.
  • Support verification activities across simulation and emulation/FPGA platforms.

What you'll need

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 5+ years of related experience, or an MS degree with 3+ years.
  • 3+ years of experience verifying complex SoCs or processor-based subsystems.
  • Knowledge of standard interface protocols including AXI, AHB, APB, and CHI.
  • Familiarity with processor-based SoC concepts, including memory maps, SMMU, interrupts, reset/clock sequencing, firmware-driven verification, and boot/power management flows.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM/OVM, and high-level programming languages like C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience developing verification environments, constrained-random verification, coding assertions, and functional/code coverage.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Arm Architecture SoCs or Processor/Media Subsystem Verification.
  • Experience in automotive, FuSA, or ISO 26262.
  • Experience using agentic or generative AI to automate workflows.
