About the role
Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, is hiring a SMTS Software Development Engineer to research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for semiconductor operations.
What you'll do
- Research, design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
- Understand and define software requirements and architectures for infrastructure, technology platforms, utilities, and cloud-based tools.
- Define proprietary platforms, including hardware and software components, and drive software and systems product definitions.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop systems-level software, evaluating complex technical situations and data.
- Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for engineering projects with minimal supervision.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a closely related engineering occupation.
- Three (3) years of experience in C, C++, or Python.
- Three (3) years of experience in embedded systems development.
- Three (3) years of experience in Linux kernel and driver development for multi-processor heterogeneous systems.
- Three (3) years of experience in CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
- Three (3) years of experience in parallel computer architecture and acceleration platforms including FPGAs and GPUs.
