SM1 Thin Films Equipment Technician
Support thin films fab operations with LAM (Vector/Speed Max/Altus Max/Sabre) and AMAT (Endura/Producer GT) toolsets.
About the role
Texas Instruments is seeking a Thin Films Equipment Technician to perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements, upgrades, and equipment installation within the wafer fab. You will interface with engineering and manufacturing groups to resolve equipment issues and support fab operations.
What you'll do
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, upgrades, improvements, and installations on thin films toolsets.
- Improve system performance to meet process requirements and eliminate repetitive tool downtime.
- Monitor and analyze equipment data to maintain tool performance and address operational issues.
- Coordinate supplier service and equipment repairs when needed.
- Prepare technical reports and summary findings recommending solutions to technical problems.
- Work a compressed 12-hour A or C shift schedule supporting fab operations.
What you'll need
- High School diploma or GED, and at least 18 years of age.
- 2 years of semiconductor technician experience OR 8 years of non-semiconductor/military technician experience.
- Ability to work a 12-hour compressed work schedule.
- Flexibility to work day or night shifts including one weekend shift and holidays.
Nice to have
- Experience working on LAM (Vector/Speed Max/Altus Max/Sabre) or AMAT (Endura/Producer GT) toolsets.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems.
- Experience improving equipment performance using tool stability metrics.
