About the role
This role involves the development of novel integrated photonic devices to enable breakthrough sensing applications in Apple products.
What you'll do
- Design novel integrated photonic devices for sensing applications.
- Simulate and characterize silicon photonic components.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group to demonstrate new photonic components and sensor concepts.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent fields.
- Experience with simulation and modeling of photonic components.
Nice to have
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Master's or PhD degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent fields.
- Deep understanding of optoelectronics, photonics, and semiconductor devices.
- Extensive design and modeling experience of passive and active components on SOI platforms.
- Experience in designing MUX/DeMUX components.
- Experience in circuit simulation, high order mode mitigation, or polarization management.
- Good understanding of optical measurement techniques and hands-on experience in device characterization.
- Strong programming skills and proficiency in statistical data analysis in Python, Matlab, JMP or similar.
