About the role
This role involves the design and micro-architecture of analog/mixed-signal circuits for high-performance electrical and optical transceivers.
What you'll do
- Lead transceiver micro-architecture definition, modeling, simulation, implementation, and verification, including Tx and Rx analog front-end blocks, clocking circuits, DSPs, CDR, adaptation and calibration loops, firmware loops, and system level interface.
- Work with pre-tapeout verification teams for silicon design sign-off.
- Collaborate with post-silicon validation teams to bring up silicon and analyze volume productization data.
What you'll need
- Strong background in advanced ultra-high-speed electrical and/or optical PHY design and architecture.
- Ph.D in electrical engineering or related fields with industrial experience or M.S. with relevant industrial experience in optical and/or electrical transceiver design and architecture.
Nice to have
- Top-level and block-level electrical/optical link budgeting and modeling.
- Experience creating and maintaining high-level design spec and micro-architecture spec documentations.
- Participation in architecture reviews, design reviews, design verification, and silicon validation.
