About the role

This role involves identifying security flaws and guiding secure hardware architecture for chips in Amazon devices. The team is responsible for chip-level security testing, secure chip architecture design, and security reviews for boot code and firmware.

What you'll do

• Guide the secure development of devices, from security design and threat modeling to code reviews, security testing, and fuzzing.
• Propose, research, and develop tools and techniques to improve device security posture at scale.
• Provide technical security expertise and consultation to device product teams.
• Identify security risks and collaborate with product engineers to create mitigations.
• Develop new security policies and procedures.
• Promote security awareness and develop training materials to improve security acumen.

What you'll need

• Experience finding security issues in chips and low-level software.
• Ability to find bugs in chips by reviewing design and code and performing tests.
• Experience in security testing, secure chip architecture design, and advisory.
• Experience with system reviews and security reviews for Secure boot code, bootloader code, and firmware.
