About the role
This role involves validating pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon mixed-signal audio chips, ensuring functionality and performance according to datasheets.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute bench-level tests during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.
- Bench test and debug embedded on-chip circuitry (amplifiers, data converters, power converters).
- Design, develop, and debug silicon validation board-level hardware.
- Develop automated test frameworks and regression test suites in Python.
- Analyze test results and identify failures/defects using business intelligence tools such as Spotfire.
- Write technical reports/summaries of collected data.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related subject.
- Advanced electrical engineering knowledge in audio electronics, analog, digital, or power electronics.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Knowledge of mixed-signal building blocks like ADC, DAC, PLLs, amplifiers, signal processing and measurement, and IC control/communication protocols.
- Problem-solving skills to understand silicon, board, and software interactions.
Nice to have
- Experience in post-silicon validation, mixed-signal IP block design/validation, audio related signal processing, power management, and algorithm validation.
- Experience using simulation tools such as LTSpice.
- Experience in automation framework hardware tools (FPGA, DSP, NI Data Acquisition) or software tools/languages (C, Python, SQL, NI Teststand, Spotfire, schematic capture tools).
- Proficiency in system understanding of industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, I2S, TDM, or high-speed control/data bus.
- Experience in version control tools such as Git, SVN, and Perforce.
