About the role

This role is responsible for staffing, supervising, and developing non-exempt employees in a clean room manufacturing environment at Microchip's Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. The Production Supervisor sets and monitors WIP priorities to meet production goals and continuously improve upon production systems.

What you'll do

• Supervise Production Specialists in a clean-room manufacturing facility
• Monitor and take appropriate action to meet production goals
• Perform administrative duties such as record keeping, Workday timekeeping validation, training, and performance evaluation
• Lead and drive continuous and quality related improvements, cost reduction measures, and barrier removal teams
• Actively engage in project management responsibilities and support production group projects
• Adhere to and support clean-room and safety requirements

What you'll need

• 3+ years of supervisory (direct and/or direct lead) experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Effective leadership skills, particularly in performance management and career development of Production Specialists
• Ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities, and multi-task
• Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, internet access, and E-mail

Nice to have

• BS/BA degree
• Supervisory experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
