About the role
As a Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer on the ASIC R&D team, you will participate in the complete digital ASIC design flow from specification and modeling through synthesis, verification, and silicon bring-up. The position focuses on designing and implementing audio processing DSP algorithms, interfaces, and digital control logic for MEMS microphones.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and verify DSP algorithms, interfaces, and protocols for audio processing on ASIC. - Implement and verify digital control logic to support MEMS microphones. - Conduct design validation and performance testing. - Author specifications and technical documentation for blocks and systems. - Support complex failure analyses to ensure smooth ramp-ups and high-volume production.
What you'll need
- Advanced degree in electronics engineering. - 10+ years of experience developing digital blocks and systems for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits in consumer or industrial R&D. - Fundamental understanding of digital signal processing concepts, including Z-Transform, frequency response, SNR, and THD. - Experience architecting and implementing DSP algorithms, filters, and decimators using MATLAB Simulink. - RTL implementation of DSP algorithms using Verilog or SystemVerilog, alongside RTL testbench development and digital verification methods. - Understanding of analog and mixed-signal blocks such as op-amps, LDOs, ADCs, and DACs. - Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or Perl.
Nice to have
- Experience with audio signal processing including beamforming, echo cancellers, and adaptive filters. - Experience with algorithms for energy management, speech and audio processing, noise cancellation, acoustic echo cancellation, signal enhancement, and microphone and speaker arrays.
