About the role
This Senior Staff Application Engineer will support existing analog products and new product developments for the space market. This role involves working with products such as Precision Op-amps, Instrumentation Amplifiers, Voltage References, Precision ADCs, and Battery Management Systems (BMS).
What you'll do
- Perform various lab tests for device characterization and compile validation reports.
- Generate and edit Data Sheets using FrameMaker, and document test procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to customers, address questions, and analyze field returns.
- Train Field Application Engineers on products and demonstration systems.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Customer, Design, and Product engineering teams to define new products.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- 7 to 10+ Years in an Applications and/or Systems Engineering role in Analog IC Development or Circuit Design Industry.
- Proficient with analog and mixed-signal designs.
- Proficient with electronic bench lab equipment (power supplies, function generators, multi-meters, oscilloscopes).
- Experience in Schematic/Layout design tools and switching power supply layout concepts.
- Knowledge of analog design and lab troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding and following industry standards of test for ICs.
Nice to have
- Experience writing programming code (i.e. Python) to automate lab bench equipment in GBIP/USB communication.
- Knowledge of Verilog coding with FPGAs.
- Experience modeling circuits (SPICE and or IBIS).
- Knowledge of using and troubleshooting PSpice models.
- Experience with Altium.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
