Formulate solutions for customer applications using D-Wave’s hybrid solvers and advanced quantum systems.
About the role
As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will build and deliver quantum optimization solutions for customer applications. You will work with internal teams and external customers to map business problems to D-Wave’s hybrid solvers and advanced quantum systems.
What you'll do
- Build customer applications on the D-Wave quantum computer and internal tools.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects to achieve business value for customers.
- Gather requirements on customer use cases, model use cases mathematically, and design and develop quantum hybrid applications.
- Share customer and project-related insights with D-Wave's tools and product teams and help prioritize new product features.
- Organize, prepare, and present technical information in a clear and effective manner.
- Provide technical leadership from business problem definition, functional requirements specifications, to solution design and implementation.
What you'll need
- Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 5+ years experience with Python.
- Experience working directly with external customers to identify requirements and consult on solutions to complex business problems.
- Experience using optimization tools and techniques including Gurobi, CPLEX, genetic algorithms, and simulated annealing.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and optimization solution techniques.
- Experience with version control software such as Git.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Networkx.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret or Higher clearance (active clearance is a plus).
- Experience within industries such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail, Services.
