About the role
As Senior Quality and Test validation Engineer at MACOM, you will serve as the first line of contact for quality issues with contract electronics manufacturers (CEM) and component suppliers. The role supports laser diode and optical products manufactured at Fabrinet.
What you'll do
- Act as the first line of contact for quality issues with the CEM and component suppliers for laser diode and optical products manufactured at Fabrinet. - Implement preventive measures, including control plans and quality monitoring, to prevent quality spills with key customers in Asia. - Monitor and participate in New Product Development projects, including performing quality evaluations. - Utilize the internal SCAR system to ensure the CEM drives to root cause analysis and implements effective corrective actions. - Support production personnel by resolving process and material-related quality problems, and work with suppliers and purchasing to ensure consistent material quality. - Perform audits of the CEM and other suppliers, supporting process improvements through tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, and pareto analysis.
What you'll need
- Experience managing quality issues and supplier audits with contract electronics manufacturers (CEM) and component suppliers. - Background in quality engineering for laser diode and optical products. - Experience utilizing SCAR systems, driving root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. - Hands-on experience with Six Sigma and quality tools, including FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, and pareto analysis. - Ability to travel internationally to CEM sites in Malaysia.
