SkyWater is hiring a Senior Product Engineering Manager to manage the Wafer Inspection and Defect Density team for the Austin, TX site. The position oversees operations and applications, line health monitoring, and baseline defect improvement across engineering and manufacturing personnel.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of engineers, section managers, operators, and technicians responsible for wafer inspection, defect density, and line health monitoring. - Utilize structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and DMAIC to participate in and lead cross-functional teams targeting yield and quality enhancement. - Respond to defect events and excursions to minimize impact, implementing comprehensive corrective and preventative actions. - Implement risk-based monitoring regimes to prevent or minimize defect events through early detection. - Collaborate with vendors and internal maintenance teams to meet equipment uptime goals. - Define and execute long-term strategy for tool and systems roadmaps, group staffing, budgeting, and succession planning.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science degree in a technology-related field. - 10 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry. - Experience with semiconductor manufacturing, unit process modules, defect metrology, yield modeling, physical/elemental analysis, and 6-sigma methods. - Demonstrated experience in engineering management and formal leadership, including goal management, budgeting, and performance reviews.
