About the role
This role supports day-to-day product safety and EMC compliance activities for the Compute Test Division in Agoura Hills, CA.
What you'll do
- Manage product safety and EMC compliance activities for Compute Test Division projects in collaboration with development teams. - Integrate with design teams to drive early risk assessment and pre-compliance work. - Coordinate internal and external testing events, interfacing with certification suppliers, competent bodies, and test labs. - Conduct product safety analysis from circuit-level schematics and wiring diagrams to system-level designs, providing formal safety recommendations to engineering teams. - Maintain Test Reports, Constructional Data Forms (CDF), and Technical Construction Files (TCF) to ensure continuing compliance. - Coordinate EMC pre-compliance and validation activities while communicating and deploying compliance best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering. - 10+ years of experience in product safety and compliance engineering. - Strong understanding of IEC/EN 61010-1 standards. - Hands-on ability to perform product safety testing. - Strong project management and organizational skills.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering. - Experience in product development. - Familiarity with SEMI S2/S8 and IEC 60825-1 standards. - Understanding of EMC principles, with the ability to troubleshoot EMC test failures and recommend design improvements. - Knowledge of domestic and international electrical safety and EMC standards and regulations, including SEMI (S2), National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), and European Standards (EN61010, EN60204, EN61326). - Compliance experience with ATE (Automated Test Equipment) or highly integrated electrical equipment.
