Senior Process Integration Engineer

About the role
The Senior Process Integration Engineer manages and coordinates mask design, process development, workflow setup, and characterization efforts for front-end manufacturing and backend operations. The position focuses on development, failure analysis, and production ramp readiness for III-V semiconductor laser chips, including VCSEL and DFB laser devices.
What you'll do
- Support the NPI team in establishing mask sets, process flows, and workflows for both front-end wafer fabrication and back-end die assembly and characterization.
- Oversee day-to-day progress of matrix lots and manage part numbers and BOM setup for new product introduction.
- Assist in failure analysis by investigating issues found during wafer fabrication and product characterization, taking the lead on root-cause analysis.
- Coordinate production ramp-up readiness with cross-functional teams including EPI, process, assembly, test, and product engineering.
- Collaborate with the product engineering team to improve yield and design and execute experiments to identify and correct failure modes.
What you'll need
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a relevant major.
- 3+ years of experience in III-V semiconductor laser related device design, process development, and characterization.
- Hands-on experience with design, process, and characterization of optoelectronic devices such as VCSEL, DFB laser, or photonic integrated chips.
- Strong statistical data analysis skills using tools such as JMP or Minitab.
- Familiarity with semiconductor wafer fab operations, including Manufacturing Execution System, process and quality control, and change management.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and with hazardous materials.
Nice to have
- Experience with optoelectronic device reliability testing and modeling.
