About the role
This role leads the strategy, operations, and development of an engineering lab supporting complex hardware and platform engineering activities. As a leader of this lab organization, you will help shape the capabilities and operating environment that enable engineers to move quickly from development through validation.
What you'll do
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the lab, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and workflows are optimized.
- Lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment that aligns with project goals and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lab protocols, maintaining a secure and efficient workplace.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project development, testing, and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance lab processes and performance.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting skill development and professional growth.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computing Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 9 years of professional experience; or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
- Experience managing engineering labs or similar environments, including resource allocation and team leadership.
- Experience with lab tools, equipment, and processes relevant to engineering workflows.
- Experience managing projects, monitoring progress, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.
Nice to have
- Experience in engineering systems, testing methodologies, or related domains.
