About the role

This role involves developing, testing, and validating embedded software solutions for Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++. You will define and drive early application-specific software products while embedding secure-by-design methodologies aligned with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and ISO 26262 functional safety standards.

What you'll do

  • Develop, test, and validate embedded software solutions for Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers using C/C++.
  • Define and drive early application-specific software products from concept through implementation readiness.
  • Embed secure-by-design methodologies, ensuring alignment with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and industry security standards.
  • Collaborate with corporate QA and Functional Safety (FuSa) experts to ensure compliance with ASPICE and functional safety standards, such as ASPICE-L3, ISO 26262, or equivalent quality assurance requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with silicon design, system architecture, firmware, and security teams to support architectural trade-off analysis covering performance, power, safety, and security.
  • Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, test planning, and contribute to specifications and design guidelines.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems development, semiconductor or electronic product development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on programming experience in C/C++ and Python, with the ability to write production-quality or prototype-level code.
  • Strong experience in microcontrollers and application-specific software products.
  • Experience working effectively in cross-disciplinary environments.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of secure-by-design concepts, threat modeling, and hardware security fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience or strong understanding of Functional Safety (FuSa) requirements and standards.

Skills: Embedded software solution, Microchip 8-bit and 32-bit microcontrollers, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), ISO 26262, Functional Safety (FuSa)
