About the role
The Principal Product Manufacturing Engineer evaluates the applicability of products and technical capabilities for new and evolving customer silicon devices. This role serves as a technical link between customers, Sales, Field Applications, Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to translate customer requirements into manufacturable product solutions.
What you'll do
- Evaluate customer silicon devices and technical requirements to determine product applicability, feasibility, and manufacturability.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications, recommendations, trade-offs, and solutions.
- Partner across Sales, Field Applications, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to identify technical risks and ensure proposed solutions are viable.
- Investigate application, product, and manufacturability issues using structured problem-solving, data analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Support the technical introduction of new customer devices, applications, and product configurations.
- Identify and lead improvements to application engineering tools, test methods, technical documentation, and workflows.
What you'll need
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a Master’s degree, a PhD without experience, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience evaluating technical feasibility, product capabilities, and manufacturability for semiconductor devices.
- Proficiency using Autodesk AutoCAD and CAD tools.
- Experience conducting root-cause analysis and data-driven technical investigations.
- Background in scripting and Microsoft Office for technical documentation and analysis.
