About the role
This position serves as a primary technical resource supporting solid and liquid precursor delivery systems for customers across Arizona, California, and other strategic locations. The role requires frequent travel and extended onsite assignments supporting customer manufacturing environments in regions including the San Francisco Bay Area.
What you'll do
- Install, commission, qualify, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain solid and liquid precursor delivery systems, bulk delivery platforms, and high-purity fluid-handling systems.
- Provide hands-on technical support for thermal-management equipment and heated delivery systems.
- Lead field investigations and resolve equipment, reliability, and process-related issues directly on the production floor.
- Support canister, ampoule, and chemical-container change activities, preventive maintenance, upgrades, and field retrofits.
- Document field activities, troubleshooting results, and corrective actions in accordance with company procedures.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation and respond to critical customer events.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of field service, field engineering, equipment engineering, or related technical experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment or process delivery systems.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and servicing semiconductor equipment within customer manufacturing environments.
- Practical experience diagnosing and resolving equipment issues directly on the production floor.
- Ability and willingness to travel 80% or more, including extended multi-day onsite assignments.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional evenings, weekends, and off-hours support during critical customer events.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering or technical discipline.
- Experience with ALD, CVD, EPI, diffusion, etch, or other semiconductor process applications.
- Experience with semiconductor precursor, chemical, gas, or high-purity fluid delivery equipment.
