Senior Embedded Systems Software Test Engineer - Taipei, Taiwan

About the role
This role involves leading system test efforts in Taipei, validating software across the full product lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Build, hire, and develop a high-performing System Test team.
- Define and execute post-silicon system test strategies spanning functional, stress, endurance, negative, and system-level validation.
- Drive test automation and CI integration.
- Partner with Firmware, Driver, Systems and Product teams to ensure robust validation coverage and clear defect triage.
- Represent System Test status and quality outcomes in internal reviews and external discussions with ODMs and customers.
What you'll need
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10+ years of experience OR MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with a minimum of 8+ years of experience.
- Experience working on DVT and EVT devices.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, including general-purpose operating systems (Windows/Linux) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience with a variety of MCU and DSP cores/processors.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python/shell, C, C++.
- Understanding of software testing and test automation principles.
Nice to have
- Experience building and growing technical teams.
- Experience with cross-functional and offshore communication.
- Experience with Jira, svn/git, and continuous integration systems (e.g., Jenkins).
- Familiarity with defect management practices.
- Familiarity with SDLC.
- Experience with Agile Scrum software development.
- Experience in lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers for measurement and debugging issues.
