About the role
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and validate embedded and cloud edge software.
- Create and modify applications and specialized utility programs.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to design system-level software solutions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience, OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python.
- Proficiency writing code in C/C++.
- Experience delivering technical projects on embedded processors using an understanding of processor architecture/memories, board support and peripheral control, and embedded development and debugging tools.
- Experience with operating systems like FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux, and Android.
Nice to have
- Practical experience leveraging AI code-assist tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) in resource-constrained embedded software environments, including C/C++, firmware, or DSP development.
- Experience building embedded systems and application software.
- Familiarity with Python, shell.
- Experience with developing software for GNSS receivers and location-based systems.
- Experience with 3GPP location and data protocols.
- Experience with auto grade Linux and Android systems.
