(Senior) Director, Process Engineering

About the role
Manage and drive the process engineering function for a key product group in Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology across ASM's operations.
What you'll do
- Run the day-to-day management of key product process engineering teams with an emphasis on results. - Set, evangelize, and implement ASM processes while supporting the annual strategic planning process. - Collaborate with the KPU head and GPM to set technology vision, develop the technology roadmap, and execute on the product roadmap. - Lead Product Lifecycle (PLC) teams in developing and delivering systems to the market, managing development execution across performance, cost, and schedule. - Work across hardware and software engineering organizations to define product success criteria and drive new product development. - Partner with Product Marketing, key account technology (KAT) teams, and key customers to qualify products and processes to specifications.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - At least 12 years of experience in semiconductor equipment development. - Proven background in Product Life Cycle (PLC) deliverables and development execution. - Track record of recruiting and managing process engineering teams across cultural dimensions.
Nice to have
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience with CVD or ALD equipment development. - Expertise in device areas including work function, electrodes, silicides, wordlines, and FEOL/BEOL metals.
