About the role
This role provides direct engineering support to ensure customers can integrate power and battery management devices into their end products. You will develop reference designs and platforms for integrated DC-to-DC switching converters and mixed-signal circuits.
What you'll do
- Provide direct engineering support for Cirrus Logic customers and field personnel.
- Develop reference designs, demonstration platforms, application notes, white papers, demo-board, and reference-design manuals.
- Implement customer-application focused data collection and circuit analysis.
- Debug analog and digital silicon issues.
- Collaborate with tier-1 customers, marketing, and internal engineering teams to understand requirements and use cases.
- Travel approximately 2 weeks per year, domestically and abroad.
What you'll need
- BSEE with 2+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, or an MSEE.
- Experience with integrated DC-to-DC switching buck and/or boost converters, battery chargers, and mixed-signal circuits for portable or power electronic products.
- System understanding of industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S, and SPMI.
- Experience in component selection, schematic entry, and knowledge of PCB layout design.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar.
- Extensive hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, audio analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
Nice to have
- Experience with embedded C/C++ programming.
