About the role
MACOM is seeking an Equipment Engineer for the NCSC semiconductor fab to support fab equipment and processes across multiple technical areas.
What you'll do
- Ensure fab equipment and processes meet throughput, yield, safety, and efficiency objectives. - Develop and document procedures to sustain and evolve equipment performance. - Identify, prioritize, and implement projects for continuous improvement of uptime and output through data analysis. - Initiate escalations for hard down equipment through to recovery, maintaining ownership of history, status, plans, and communication 24x7 until resolved. - Plan and manage capital equipment procurement, installations, and upgrades while training and mentoring equipment technicians. - Support production needs with off-hours response as issues arise.
What you'll need
- Equipment engineering coverage experience across multiple areas including Diffusion, Plasma Deposition, Plasma Etch, Wet Etch, Metal Evaporation, and Photolithography. - Experience managing equipment installations, upgrades, and procurement. - Experience analyzing data to drive continuous improvement in equipment uptime and process output. - Ability to manage 24x7 hard down equipment escalations and support off-hours production needs.
