About the role
This role works within the QA Labs Department to ensure laboratory operations run safely and efficiently while supporting sample and data collection, analysis, and process improvements. Work centers on running experiments and using scientific instrumentation such as APIMS, CRDS, and TDGCMS to evaluate media testing parameters and improve laboratory procedures.
What you'll do
- Perform analytical testing based on established methods. - Calibrate and maintain scientific instrumentation including APIMS, CRDS, TDGCMS, IC, and general laboratory equipment. - Lead Long-Term Stability monitoring and Gage R&R studies in the Quality Assurance Labs. - Lead testing and documentation for the incoming media testing laboratory. - Author and review test reports, work instructions, and other technical documents while communicating results via reports and presentations. - Work with QA Labs and R&D teams to move sampling lines across locations, evaluate process parameters, participate in 6S audits, and support continuous improvement.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - Lab experience using gas-phase analytical equipment along with equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills. - Experience using MS Excel. - Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders during test set-up.
Nice to have
- MathCAD experience.
