About the role
This internship involves contributing to the design and analysis of RF modules. The role supports the High Performance Analog division within the Radio Frequency and Analog Products design organization.
What you'll do
- Contribute to design and analysis of RF modules used in Cellular Base Stations, Radar, Satellite, GPS systems.
- Meet performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule requirements and constraints.
- Produce designs with challenging specifications that may require trade studies.
- Work closely with other engineering and project management functions to meet design targets.
- Work with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to characterize and compare simulated data to real lab data.
- Maintain detailed design documentation, follow established design flows, and policies.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics programs.
- Completed upper-level RF analog circuit design and Electromagnetics courses.
- Working knowledge of radio system.
- Very good working knowledge of one or more of the following RF design tools: ADS, AWR, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Dynamic Link, Python, Spotfire, Matlab.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
