About the role

This role involves designing, building, and troubleshooting radio frequency (RF) solutions for power delivery and plasma generation in etch and deposition products. You will specialize in utilizing RF as a power source and creating innovative generator designs for wafer fabrication equipment.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and electrical engineering applications.
  • Determine design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
  • Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Perform professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of electrical and electro-mechanical systems/subsystems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering design teams on custom and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) embedded systems components.
  • Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to assure technical and operational requirements are met and properly demonstrated.

What you'll need

  • 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 8 years with a Master’s degree, or a PhD with 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with design/selection, testing, and documentation of RF delivery systems (100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to Kilowatt ranges).
  • Experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network Analyzers, Impedance Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers).
  • Familiarity with high voltage (>1kV) design rules/practices DC – 100MHz.
  • Experience with SPICE, LabView, MathCAD or MatLab, and analysis tools (HFSS, Comsol, Microwave Studio).

Nice to have
