About the role
Skyworks is seeking an RF Design Engineering Intern in the High Performance Analog business group. The role focuses on mm-wave amplifiers and switches in GaAs or GaN technologies as standalone ICs and integrated modules.
What you'll do
- Assist in the design of mm-wave amplifiers and switches in GaAs or GaN as standalone ICs and integrated in modules.
- Perform linear, non-linear, and electromagnetic (EM) simulations using commercial simulation tools.
- Measure and analyze RF performance of modules and MMICs in the engineering lab.
- Prepare and present design reviews to peers summarizing work and technical results.
- Assist experienced engineers in laminate package characterization, integrated circuit probe test, measurement, and data analysis.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment in an accredited program seeking a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF circuit design.
- Completion of relevant RF circuit design coursework.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Familiarity with ADS or MWO CAD simulation software.
- Familiarity with EM solvers such as Sonnet, Momentum, Axiem, or HFSS.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Python programming.
