About the role
This role involves defining, documenting, and executing inspection plans using advanced metrology equipment to guarantee components meet exacting standards within Keysight’s Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) in Colorado Springs, CO.
What you'll do
- Perform mechanical inspection of precision machined components.
- Utilize CMM (Optical and Touch Probe), Interferometry, Laser Micrometer, and other advanced metrology equipment.
- Conduct calibrations of metrology equipment.
- Provide CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) support in relation to NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) with thorough documentation.
- Certify other employees on inspection equipment and provide training to ensure quality standards.
What you'll need
- Experience interpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Work experience in a QC and manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated, analytical, organized, detail oriented, and assertive.
- Leadership qualities and good communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge and understanding of Lean, Corrective and Preventive Action, root cause investigation, or Kaizen (continuous improvement-PDCA).
- ISO 9001, AS9100, and / or FDA Certifications.
- Experience with Advanced Metrology, Programmable optical measurement tools (optical CMM), Keyence Image Measurement system, Interferometers for surface finish and form analysis, or Laser micrometer.
