About the role
This role involves supporting quality operations and process improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The co-op will focus on analyzing quality and manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities and reduce waste.
What you'll do
- Support Material Review Board (MRB), nonconformance, and corrective action (CAPA) investigations. - Analyze quality and manufacturing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. - Assist with process improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce waste. - Develop and update quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation. - Create and maintain quality metrics, dashboards, and management reports. - Participate in internal audits and quality system compliance activities.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field. - Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and available for a full-time, 6-month co-op assignment. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Ability to analyze data and communicate findings effectively through written and verbal presentations.
Nice to have
- Experience with statistical analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or quality improvement methodologies. - Previous internship, co-op, laboratory, or manufacturing experience. - Knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, ISO 9001, or semiconductor manufacturing.
