About the role
This role involves conducting on-site installation, repair, and technical support for semiconductor test equipment at customer locations worldwide.
What you'll do
- Conduct on-site installation and repair of semiconductor test equipment.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of complex equipment using electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems, software systems, and diagnostics.
- Isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical training and support to customers and OEM dealers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Make recommendations to improve product reliability, serviceability, and the spares list.
- Participate in conference calls to facilitate escalated technical issues.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and related semiconductor test equipment experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a field or technical customer service engineer/technician or systems engineer/technician.
- Experience with installation, repair, upgrading, servicing, troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution of semiconductor test equipment.
- Technical knowledge and experience with Delta Design semiconductor test equipment.
- Intermediate knowledge of semiconductor equipment, including electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, software, and control systems.
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and detailed blueprints.
- Ability to use diagnostic terminal at an intermediate to advanced level.
Nice to have
- Experience with VTS and/or Pyramid handlers.
