About the role
This role involves performing inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment, and conducting final inspections of finished goods prior to shipment.
What you'll do
- Perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, and/or equipment.
- Confirm accuracy and develop inspection methods of manufactured parts.
- Conduct final inspections of finished goods prior to shipment.
- Utilize drawings, specifications, and inspection measuring devices, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM tools.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and mentor less experienced peers.
- Document results by recording detailed test results and quality problem reports.
- Approve or reject products for shipment based on inspection results.
What you'll need
- Advanced specialized expertise within an analytical/scientific area.
- Understanding and application of Statistical Methods/Applications.
- Experience with complex precision measuring inspection tooling, gauges, and equipment.
- Proficiency with CMM tools, including basic programming capability.
- Ability to identify complex root causes and solutions using advanced problem-solving abilities.
- Developed audit methods, sequences, and procedures for inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret intermediate technical drawings and specification requirements.
