CVD Equipment Engineer (SM1)
About the role
As a Thin Films CVD Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will evaluate, install, modify, and maintain manufacturing equipment used in the fabrication of company products.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order manufacturing equipment that meets process and cost-efficiency requirements.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing tools.
- Track equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Analyze equipment performance and reliability to establish solutions that maximize tool uptime.
- Provide technical escalation support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams.
- Define, document, and write preventative maintenance schedules while optimizing tool installation efficiencies.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an Equipment Engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Equipment experience with AMAT Producer GT or LAM Vector Extreme, Speed Max, or Altus Max platforms.
- Prior working experience with PVD, CVD, high vacuum, or ultra high vacuum systems.
- Experience with equipment from other vendors such as AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, or ASM.
- Experience using tool monitoring and interdiction software, alongside equipment maintenance and documentation practices.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, SPC techniques, and cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
