About the role
The Field Production Support Team Lead leads a team of Production Support Engineers supporting UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXplus, and Eagle Test Systems ATE platforms and test fixtures. Based at the Plano, Texas office, this role combines people leadership with technical support, customer engagement, service delivery, and worldwide account coordination.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Support Engineers while aligning team skills and capacity with customer and business requirements. - Own the execution and delivery of Operation Support Service (OSS) commitments across assigned accounts in alignment with worldwide account teams. - Manage technical escalations, prioritize actions, track customer communications, and drive timely resolution. - Monitor production-support KPIs and system-performance data, driving corrective and continuous improvement actions to closure. - Drive structured problem solving using methodologies including 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5-Why, and Six Sigma. - Lead production-support activities involving hardware, software, test applications, Pass Checker Fail Device (PCFD) issues, production automation, and tester-to-handler or prober interfaces.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, physics, or a related technical field, or an electronics diploma with directly applicable experience. - 5+ years of experience supporting ATE systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. - 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, including developing team capability, setting priorities, and resolving operational issues. - Experience with escalation management, test-program debugging, program release and correlation, device-failure analysis, and production improvement activities. - Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time to support customer, team, and business needs.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience supporting ATE platforms such as UltraFLEX, UltraFLEXplus, or Eagle Test Systems. - Training or certification in structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, RCA, 5-Why, or Six Sigma.
