  • Develop and implement quality and reliability test plans, perform failure analysis, and drive 8D and FA projects toward root-cause solutions.
  • Perform FMECA, document CRAMS (component reliability), and collaborate with suppliers and design engineers to execute CRAMS test plans.
  • Execute reliability modeling, develop ERAMS (equipment reliability) test plans, and create reliability growth models.
  • Review Engineering Change Requests for their impact on Quality and Reliability (Q&R).
  • Partner with optics and PCB suppliers to define and lock manufacturing processes through Part Quality Plans (PQP).

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Expertise in mechanical/systems engineering, mechanisms and components qualification, manufacturing and failure analysis, DFR, and electro-mechanical components.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to supplier or customer sites in the USA, Europe, and Asia.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Reliability, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Q&R Engineering role or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience with LEDs, lasers, PCB and board assembly, or other electronics assembly.
  • Knowledge and experience in optics, software, lithography, or optical metrology in the semiconductor industry.
