About the role
As a Product Installation Engineer, you will lead the on-time installation and qualification of complex capital equipment, ensuring smooth handoff, predictable cycle times, and a successful warranty start. This role involves working with advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally.
What you'll do
- Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
- Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership
- Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process
- Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time
- Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools
What you'll need
- Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems
- Experience with high-vacuum systems
- Comfort working with computer systems, operating systems, and networking (Windows, Unix, or similar environments)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- ASET minimum degree or equivalent work experience in supporting complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry
