About the role
This role involves the evaluation, selection, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing equipment.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Stay current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Study equipment performance and reliability.
- Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment problems.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering degree.
- 2 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer or Technician within CVD, PVD, Dry/Plasma Etch, or Ash.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and SPC techniques.
- Experience with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
- Equipment and process experience with AMAT and/or LAM Equipment.
- Equipment and process experience with CVD or other high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum equipment.
