About the role
This role involves performing manual and automated assembly of optical components and modules, and conducting in-process and final testing of products.
What you'll do
- Perform manual and automated assembly of optical components and modules according to detailed manufacturing instructions.
- Conduct in-process and final testing of products using specified equipment and procedures.
- Operate and calibrate production equipment.
- Document production activities, test data, and quality control information.
- Identify and report product defects, process anomalies, and equipment malfunctions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, cleanroom protocols, and quality management system requirements.
What you'll need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven ability to work with small components and use precision tools (e.g., microscopes, calipers, soldering irons).
- Experience with test equipment and data acquisition systems.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Nice to have
- Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, optics, manufacturing) preferred.
