About the role
This is a full-time, 8-month internship position located onsite in Richardson, Texas, starting in January 2027. The role focuses on clean room fab engineering projects spanning semiconductor processing areas such as evaporation, CVD, PVD, electroplating, etch, photolithography, wafer dicing, and CMP.
What you'll do
- Execute projects in areas involving evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, electroplating, plasma etch, dry/wet etch, photolithography, wafer dicing, and CMP.
- Collect process data using various metrology tools.
- Perform data analysis using software such as Spotfire and Excel.
- Handle process troubleshooting and recipe optimization.
- Support experimental design and the execution of fab engineering trials.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment in an accredited BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Semiconductor coursework and/or experience, including standard processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, CMP).
- Interest in hands-on engineering work in a clean room facility.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Availability to work onsite for an 8-month duration starting in January 2027.

- Experience with Spotfire.
