About the role
This role involves process engineering projects within QORVO's Global Operations business group, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing techniques. Responsibilities will be determined based on business needs during the internship.
What you'll do
- Work on projects involving Evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, Electroplating, plasma etch, Dry/Wet Etch, Photolithography, Wafer Dicing, or CMP.
- Collect data using various metrology tools.
- Analyze data with software such as Spotfire and Excel.
- Perform process troubleshooting and recipe optimization.
- Design and execute fab engineering trials.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Semiconductor coursework and/or experience, including standard processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, CMP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Interest in "hands on" engineering work in a clean room facility.
Nice to have
- Experience with Spotfire.
