About the role
This role involves designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. Most hands-on work will be performed on advanced wafer-processing tools within MIT’s cleanroom.
What you'll do
- Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on complex process engineering experiments.
- Utilize techniques to characterize hardware and/or perform hardware characterization on complex systems.
- Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations, technical reports, and process engineering specifications.
- Develop, plan, and execute process engineering projects.
- Train engineers in measurement techniques of film properties and guide them in data interpretation, methodologies, and troubleshooting.
- Interact with customers to resolve complex process engineering issues/problems.
What you'll need
- Experience as a semiconductor process engineer.
- Knowledge of PVD, CVD, ETCH, or RTP processes.
- Ability to design, run, and test wafer-level experiments in a complex laboratory environment.
Nice to have
- CMOS or compound semiconductor device integration experience.
