About the role
This role involves developing and continuously improving diffusion or dielectric deposition process modules for RF-CMOS, BiCMOS, MEMS, and Silicon Photonics devices.
What you'll do
- Develop new or continuously improve existing diffusion or dielectric deposition process modules to meet performance, quality, and cycle time requirements.
- Monitor, control, and sustain manufacturing processes in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot yield problems, develop process enhancements, and implement new processes to improve performance, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Install and qualify new tools and process capabilities while supporting process and technology transfers.
- Lead or participate in troubleshooting taskforces to develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
- Partner with the Integration team and Quality organization to ensure technologies satisfy technical specifications and reliability requirements.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of process engineering experience, or 2+ years with an advanced degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with design of experiment techniques, data analysis, and statistical analysis software (e.g., JMP).
- Experience in diffusion or CVD processes, materials, or equipment development.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma processes.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field.
- Six Sigma certifications.
Skills: diffusion, CVD, dielectric deposition, DOE, JMP

How we counted: 1026 open Process Engineering (Semiconductor Process) roles from 55 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 8 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
