About the role
This role involves developing, optimizing, and managing surface treatment processes within the back-end semiconductor manufacturing process for an optical component. You will fine-tune methods such as chemical/ultrasonic cleaning and thin film deposition.
What you'll do
- Monitor daily coating and cleaning process parameters using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure stability and quality.
- Identify and resolve process shifts or equipment issues on the production floor.
- Perform root cause analysis on defects and drive continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and improve assembly line efficiency.
- Assist in defining process parameters and qualifying new coatings and cleaning processes or advanced surface treat technologies for new product launches.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical reports for all cleaning and coating operations.
- Train and coach operations staff on dicing fundamentals and safe equipment handling.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Foundational knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Minitab.
- Basic understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
