About the role
As a Principal Technical Program Manager on the Platform Engineering Program Management team, you will lead complex development programs from early definition through validation and production readiness. You will integrate boards, switch systems, and optical interconnects into platforms for hyperscale cloud and networking customers.
What you'll do
- Own platform programs from concept through production readiness, establishing integrated plans covering requirements, resources, milestones, dependencies, validation, and release criteria across board, switch, and optical development.
- Lead platform development supporting custom cloud data center and networking solutions, translating customer commitments into clear engineering priorities and execution plans.
- Partner across board design, switch architecture, optics, silicon, firmware, software, validation, product management, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Coordinate bring-up, debug, and root-cause investigations across hardware, firmware, switching, and optical interfaces.
- Work with supply chain, operations, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to align prototype availability, material readiness, and transition to production.
- Align multidisciplinary teams on validation strategies, qualification milestones, acceptance criteria, and customer deployment readiness.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Substantial relevant experience in semiconductors, networking, or systems/platform development (typically 15+ years with a bachelor's, 10+ years with a master's, or 8+ years with a PhD).
- At least 5 years of technical project or program management experience in the semiconductor or systems/platform industry.
- Demonstrated development experience in one or more areas: high-speed board design, switch systems, or optics/optical interconnects.
- Working knowledge of high-speed PCB design and layout, signal integrity considerations, switch architectures, optical module integration, and hardware/firmware validation.
- Demonstrated track record of managing concurrent development efforts and delivering integrated products against hyperscale customer requirements.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Skills: program management, switch systems, optics, board design, validation, hyperscale
