About the role

As a Principal Technical Program Manager in the Solutions Engineering organization, you will lead complex technical engineering projects from initial definition through development, integration, validation, and delivery. Projects span semiconductor IP, Compute Subsystems, SoC development, FPGA and emulation platforms, validation boards, and hardware/software enablement.

What you'll do

  • Independently lead technical engineering projects from initial definition through development, integration, validation, and delivery, taking ownership of execution and outcomes.
  • Establish project objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria, developing integrated plans and schedules that support delivery commitments.
  • Manage project schedules, critical paths, technical dependencies, risks, resource constraints, and changes to scope or delivery commitments.
  • Partner with Engineering Technical Leads to evaluate delivery impacts, challenge assumptions, and establish mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams across disciplines, organizations, and locations, aligning on priorities and commitments.
  • Establish project metrics and communicate progress, risks, issues, and trade-offs to engineering teams and senior stakeholders.

What you'll need

  • Proven experience independently leading complex technical product-development projects within the semiconductor industry, with accountability for execution across multiple engineering teams or disciplines.
  • Strong project or program management capabilities, including integrated planning, scheduling, critical-path management, dependency tracking, risk mitigation, change management, and recovery planning.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and technical leaders in complex product-development environments to recognize challenges, evaluate dependencies, and support informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams, influence stakeholders without direct authority, navigate ambiguity, and communicate with technical teams and senior leadership.

Nice to have

  • Experience delivering projects in semiconductor IP, Compute Subsystems, SoC/ASIC development, RTL design and verification, FPGA or hardware emulation, or pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
  • Experience with hardware platforms, PCB or board development, customer reference boards, embedded systems, or hardware/software integration.
  • Familiarity with silicon bring-up, product qualification, software enablement, or power and performance development.
  • A degree or equivalent industry experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Professional project or program management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or MSP.
